Undecided Major

If you are not exactly sure what careers and majors might be the best for you, that's OK — we have people and resources on campus to help.

One of the best things about a liberal arts education – like the one here at IC – is that it can lead you in hundreds, even thousands, of directions. We have graduates who have gone off to do all kinds of different things with their degrees, and many of them were unsure when they began this process as well.

Our BLUEprint general education curriculum is even designed in part to help you do some of your own exploration.

Resources

  • The Office of Career Services has dedicated staff that can help you sort through options for majors and careers based on your interests, skills, values, personality, and many other factors that are important to you.
  • We also use a great resource called that is a great tool for students considering how they might use their degree after college.
  • Students also find the  an easy search tool to do some primary research on career paths, including the kinds of graduate programs that might be needed for different opportunities.
  • One of your best resources at IC is the people around you. Your professors and the staff you work with daily want to help you discover what you are passionate about.
