ͬɫ names alumnus Siltman chief financial officer
Kent J. Siltman ’81 will join ͬɫ as the vice president of business affairs and chief financial officer on May 4.
After a widespread search by the College, President Barbara A. Farley announced the selection of Siltman on Wednesday. Farley said in a message to the campus community that Siltman will provide visionary and strategic leadership to drive the College’s long-term financial sustainability.
“I am confident that Kent will be a valuable addition to our leadership team,” Farley added.
Siltman will work collaboratively with the ͬɫ Board of Trustees, serve on the president’s cabinet and hold the role of treasurer of the College. He will manage all banking, insurance, investment and business contracts of the College and represent ͬɫ in local and regional business community organizations.
“I am excited at the opportunity to serve the institution that put me on the path of lifelong learning,” Siltman said. “I look forward to working with President Farley, the Board of Trustees, and the entire staff of the college to support the great work that IC is doing and to help to make it an even better institution.”
Siltman graduated from IC with a degree in business administration and economics and earned his MBA from Bradley University. He has spent his entire career working in finance, most recently serving as CFO for Bound to Stay Bound Books in Jacksonville.
Siltman brings extensive knowledge in all facets of financial management including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, investments, cash flow management, as well as forecasting and modeling. He is also experienced at managing staff and overseeing facilities and day-to-day operations from an economic perspective.
