Chicago a cappella presents virtual concert as part of Fine Arts Series

The innovative musical group Chicago a cappella will kick off the ͬɫ Fine Arts Series for 2021 with a free virtual performance of “The History of Rock and Soul,” on Friday, Jan. 29.

The highly-acclaimed vocal ensemble promises a program filled with energy and incorporating jazz, gospel, country, folk, blue, rockabilly and more. 

 last visited the College in 2008 and is scheduled to return next year for a new in-person performance as part of the Fine Arts Series. This is the third virtual concert of the Fine Arts Series’ 41st season with a theme of “The Show Must Go On!”

The public is invited to watch the live virtual concert for no charge by visiting the IC website at where a concert link will be posted a few days before the event. A full schedule of the Fine Arts Series season is available at . 

While there is no charge for the virtual concerts, donations to cover artist fees and support the program are welcome and can be made by contacting Jennifer Phebus ’07 at 217.245.3192.
