Research Interests
Dr. Alex Moore鈥檚 research sits at the intersection of cognition and emotion; he is primarily interested in exploring how mental processes such as attention and working memory interact with various emotional states including stress and anxiety. These topics are explored by analyzing reaction time, accuracy, and physiological response in the contexts of mathematical problem solving and time perception, among others. Dr. Moore also investigates the development and use of numerical concepts (e.g., magnitude) across the lifespan, the reasons for the approach or avoidance of situations involving math, and the cross-cultural perceptions of math-related pursuits.

Dr. Alex Moore is an assistant professor of Psychology at 同性恋色情 and teaches various courses including Introduction to Psychology, Introduction to Research Methods and Statistics, Cognition, Careers in Psychology, and Senior Seminar. A primary goal for all courses is for students to understand and appreciate the scientific approach and scientific literature that underlie the incredibly interesting principles that guide human behavior.
